Viet Sing Joint Stock Company always prioritizes the development and balance between PEOPLE – ENVIRONMENT – SOCIETY. For us, the human factor has a important role in implementing and complying with regulations to protect forests, the environment, and the rights of workers. To realize this desire, we choose to comply with and accompany the EUDR (European Union Deforestation Regulation) – a regulation of the European Union aimed at preventing the import of products sourced from destroyed forests. The EUDR is established to protect the environment, prevent unsustainable logging, and mitigate negative impacts on the climate.
Participate in enhancing awareness and education.
- Enhancing awareness: We continuously raise awareness among stakeholders, including farmers, businesses, and consumers, about the importance of forest protection.
- Participating in training: We provide training programs to help growers and agents understand the EUDR regulations and how to comply with them.
- Labor compliance: Viet Sing requires assurance in the harvesting of natural rubber, not only complying with forest protection regulations but also protecting the rights of workers, ensuring safe and fair working conditions for all workers in the supply chain.
Local Engagement
- Local Community: We have directly visited each rubber plantation to conduct surveys and assessments. Through this, we interviewed the plantation owners, updating detailed information about the plantations, land conditions, working conditions of the laborers, and environmental hygiene standards.
- Raising Awareness: Viet Sing regularly organizes workshops and meetings in the local area to raise awareness about sustainable forestry. Through this, we encourage community participation in decision-making processes related to forest management and rubber production.
- Feedback: Viet Sing always listens to the contributions and feedback regarding production activities that may impact the environment from plantation owners and participants in harvesting. We actively provide solutions to the issues that smallholders are facing.
